About San Ramon:

The city of San Ramon was incorporated in 1983. It's located in the San Ramon Valley of Contra Costa County about 35 miles east of San Francisco. The population is roughly 79,000.

San Ramon was once home to the Seunen Indians, Ohlone/Costanoans who lived adjacent to the valley creeks. The first permanent American settlers came to San Ramon in 1850.
